“UPDATED REVIEW: This is a review while my service is "in-progress." I had my truck towed in over the weekend and waited until Wednesday for diagnosis. During that interval, there was a lack of communication. However, as soon as my truck was diagnosed, communication improved 100% and Jay has been outstanding. Now it's pending repair, so hopefully it's on track for a great final outcome and review. Thank you Garber Ford Service, for the way you have turned around what had started as a negative experience. Now to see how it goes from here... FINAL REVIEW UPDATE: Repairs were completed to my satisfaction and on-point. Great communication all the way until I picked up my truck. I have discovered a small discrepancy on the invoice, but will reserve judgement on that until I can discuss it with Jay or Brian to determine if any errors were made. Note to all: Be aware of the additional 15% fee Garber adds to the parts and labor total charge, and it's only explained in the fine print as: "The charge represents costs and PROFITS to the motor vehicle repair facility for maintenance, shop supplies, and waste disposal." I would have assumed all profit margins were already baked into the parts charges listed per line item, and baked into the hourly labor charges. It doesn't seem like that's how Garber does business, OR, this is an additional, somewhat hidden fee to capture an *additional* profit margin on retail-priced parts and published hourly labor rates. For the record, I fully support the use of a transparent line item charge for shop supplies and disposal fees. That's pretty standard stuff and represents real expenses that need to be recouped. To tie off and at the risk of sounding "nit picky," I was a little surprised when I picked up my truck that there were no paper floor mats used and it hadn't been given an exterior wash. It's just a noticeable contrast to my experience with other Ford dealer service departments. Maybe I've just been spoiled by the other dealerships, but admittedly it does add a nice touch without a ton of effort or expense. As much as I want to change my rating to 5 stars which would indicate a flawless experience, the honest experience only deserves a 4 star rating for the exceptions noted spanning the whole experience.”
