About
Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

“The food was old/cold, and the soda was completely flat… my dinner was literal “trash” tonight! I usually love Whataburger, but this visit was a massive disappointment. I ordered a Jalapeño Whataburger and Onion rings, expecting hot and fresh. Instead, the burger tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours! The veggies wilted, bun soggy and tasted like it has sat there for sometime; cold sandwich. The onion rings were cold, cold! To make matters worse, the drink machine must have been totally out of carbonation. I took one sip of my soda, and it tasted like pure, syrupy sugar water with absolutely no fizz. It is incredibly frustrating to pay for a meal only to get stale, unappealing food and a flat drink. Hopefully, this was just an off night for this Middleburg location, but it definitely ruined my craving. If I didn’t already go out of my way to go there tonight (for a craving), I would have wasted more time and gas to bring it back for a refund.”
