Locked In Escape Rooms has a new look and a new name. Welcome to Portals of Paradox. Portals of Paradox are unique, premium escape rooms where every door opens into another dimension. Portals of Paradox began after taking over Locked In Escape Rooms in Middleburg, FL and reimagining it as a darker, more cinematic destination. The goal is to keep the unique experience of a local business, and make every group feel like that our escape rooms are built like a doorway into another world. Locked In Escape Room opened in May 2018 in the Silos Shoppes on CR 220 as the first Escape Room in Clay County and since then have had over 17,000 players enjoy our unique themes.

“I've been wanting to try an escape room for a long time, and this was my first experience in one, given as an early birthday gift on 10-September-2026. My team did the Jacksonville Jones room at Portals of Paradox. First off, I want to acknowledge Ian, our host for the evening, who helped introduce us to how it works and helped guide us along with tips and advice and outright hints when asked. He was quirky (in a good way!) and made the experience lots of fun! The actual room was very cool, and since it was everyone's first time, we all had to work together to figure out how to solve the puzzles and come up with ideas on next steps and develop clues. We did get into the 2nd room, but we weren't able to solve the final room before our time ran out. That's okay though because it was so much fun. I've always loved Indiana Jones, and the decor, music, and overall atmosphere was very authentic, which made the entire experience such a great adventure! Ian was even nice enough to write me a birthday card...thanks Ian! You made the experience lots of fun. I will definitely go again and try another room. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try an escape room. It's great fun!!”

“We had a fun experience today in the room but the star of the show was our host Ian! He threw himself into the spirit of it, was professional, attentive, funny, and really went the extra mile to carry the theme through. Give that man a raise!”
