Whitton Roofing Company

“Purchased a home that had faulty roofing and needed repairs, searched online and selected Whitton Roofing to do the repairs and replace skylights that were not properly installed. James Whitton came out the same day I called while on the way to another job and gave me an estimate for the work, he was scheduled to do the job and though Hurricane Irma was fast approaching he still showed up two days before the hurricane hit our area and did a wonderful job and sealed up the leaky roof around the skylights and installed new quality skylights and we have not had one drop of water since. Even though the hurricane bought torrential rains we were sealed up tight thanks to his great work. I figured that since the hurricane was approaching that he would not be able to do the job as scheduled but he was here as promised and that meant so much as without him our leaky roof would have caused incredible damage inside our home due to the hurricane. I also asked him to come back and properly install a transition from my roof to the porch which also wasn't done properly by the previous company, he came out as scheduled and within two hours everything was done correctly. He is also excellent in communicating issues that might be a concern down the line. I can't say enough good things about him, it was a pleasure working with him and he will have my roofing business as long as I own this home. Just the best. Update September 2026: had a leaking roof due to dried out caulking in a skylight, called Whitton Roofing, I was hoping it could be looked at in the next few days but James arrived 45 minutes later, went up on my roof, not only patched that leak but spent additional time working on possible problem spots, and in minutes, no more leaks anywhere!!! Had another storm today, dry as a bone in our house! James is the best, just as he was 9 years ago in my earlier review. THE BEST! Thank you James!!!!!”

“While replacing the roof on my mom's house one of the roofers stepped on the porch roof which created a dip that leaks water everywhere (can't sit on the porch during a storm anymore and the wood will rot faster). Mom called Whitton over to look at it and he refused to take any responsibility. This all occurred a while back but I only just heard about it and my mom doesn't review anything so I'm doing it for her. Whitton also replaced my roof and a good bit of the old shingles and trash like that ended up in my attic instead of their dumpster, putting weight on the drywall of my ceiling which could eventually cause it to sag. Otherwise they did a great job on both houses.”
