“I wanted to love this hotel. The staff were fantastic, the location was convenient. Price was half what most of the hotels around were going for. It had a full size fridge, microwave and stove. Now for the bad, I was eating a snack by the bed and when I turned around, there was a huge roach inside the container. The bed was too firm for me, the sheets were not a good quality. They only gave us 2 towels and 2 washcloths and we had to pay extra if we wanted them to change the sheets or towels. The microwave light was bright and shined right towards the bed. The lights were on a motion sensor. No mirror outside of the bathroom. The curtains weren't black out. They also didnt take out the trash and didnt give us any instruction of where we should put the trash.”

“Echo Suites: Checking in isn’t a comfortable experience. It’s almost like you’re checking in to a jail, rehab or project rather than a hotel. Don’t get me wrong, the fellas running the desk were real kind, it’s just a bizarrely sterile and uninviting environment. They take a copy of your DL which is usually a red flag for me. But this hotel is brand new and the sheriff’s department is right next door so it can’t be that bad can it? Once you’re checked in you still have to use your key to go beyond the lobby, which combined with the non-automatic doors makes moving in anything with the luggage carts rather cumbersome. Speaking of luggage carts, on Sunday some scumbag guests claimed them early and stayed in their rooms with them so I had to carry all my stuff out including a large Yeti cooler. Maybe the hotel should require people to check them out and fine them if they don’t return them in a timely fashion. The hallways smell perfumed almost too much but it’s probably better than the smell you usually get when staying in extended stay hotels. My room was super clean as was the rest of the hotel. My bed left a bit to be desired. It wasn’t super uncomfortable but it wasn’t really comfortable either. There are no cooking apparatus, pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc in your room. I suppose you have to check them out from the front desk, but I never did inquire to verify. The back door to the lobby wouldn’t function properly, forcing me to either end of the building or all the way around when wanting to enter from the back (which made loading my stuff easier on the way out). In summary, the staff are legit, the place is kept very clean, the back door needs fixed and luggage carts need AirTags or some tracking system.”

“My son and I came here to escape the hurricane and have been pleased from the moment we walked in. Everyone has been very kind and I simply can't say enough about the housekeeping crew. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and I have never smelled cleaner towels in a hotel! Ever! The housekeepers are also super sweet. People, tell workers thank you for what they do every once and awhile. A little kindness goes a long way when they work as hard as they do. Make them feel like they matter. It's really not hard.”
