“The absolute BEST coffee shop. Period. Dot. If the question is, "Do you want to go to Scooters?" My answer is, "YiSssss!!!!" as I zip by and fly out the door. I tend to avoid corporate coffee shops (that shall remain nameless) for a variety of reasons, one being that the coffees are burnt, bitter and overpriced. You're probably asking yourself if I'm just projecting. Well, to that I say, it depends on how you like your coffee. But, no noooo, I'm sure there are others who agree... with the taste of the corporate brew. So, what to do if you are actively avoiding the constellation of coffee shops that spawn nightmares? (allegedly) Scooters!!! It happens to be franchised and independently owned (don't quote me, I've done my research but haven't confirmed via interviews). The shop is located off 17 nestled in between other stores. If you miss the entrance, you can pull into the Waffle House or the gas station and drive around. Scooters is drive thru only and has a decent and wide variety of choices with some being featured for a limited time until it turns over to the new limited time items. So, if you get attached to any of those, your best bet is to get attached to Scooters until it runs it's course and then get attached to a new feature flavor. Unless you enjoy being riddled with regret; bottom line, that's a bitter pill you won't have to pay for so get it while the getting is good. Scooters has an app and if you pre-order through the app you earn the most "smiles" possible. You can order at the drive thru and have your app scanned, but you won't earn the maximum number of "smiles" which you can redeem for things throughout the month, like more coffees!!! Pre-ordering also allows you to take your time and browse at the huge variety of drinks and flavors they have. Scooters also has food, but if you are on a coffee kick, something to nosh on is inconsequential. I have tried the mini donuts and gave them a thumbs up so I'd presume the whole menu is fair game. Well, not literally fair game cuz that wouldn't pair well with the java. Never mind. Your Scooters cheat sheet: Find something(s) on the permanent menu that you love. Your go to, your homeboy, your pal, your rotten soldier, your sweet cheese, your good-time boy. Mine is a blended Caramelicious with extra caramel. It's sublime. And, kicking it up a notch, my current limited time flavor is the blended Maple Caramelicious with extra caramel. It is the best iced coffee on Earth right now and I wish I had one at present. I do recommend the pre-order for max smiles. Just holler out your order name at the intercom and you're good. All of the baristas that work there are the best. They are usually in contagiously good moods and do the coffee justice. It's not just coffee, it's an experience. I absolutely recommend. Scoot around!”
