“The facility is in the middle of a full rehab with a lot of construction work. But I have not had a single interaction with any staff that was not above-and-beyond level effort. The office, the nurses, the CNAs, everyone has been proactive and helpful at every turn. I wish my loved one was not in a facility, but it is a comfort knowing they are in this one.”

“My father was a 100% combat-disabled veteran who survived two wars, yet he was treated with a complete lack of dignity and respect during his two months at this facility. Throughout his stay, the care team was non-responsive to our emails and in-person inquiries. Based on our direct observations, standard care protocols were repeatedly neglected. More alarmingly, caregivers were verbally and physically aggressive toward my father, who explicitly told us he was afraid of the staff mistreating and mishandling him. The situation became so hostile that I had to call 911, resulting in the Clay County Sheriff's Office intervening at the facility. When I asked staff members to treat my father with basic respect, two caregivers verbally attacked me and called me a "troublemaker." Furthermore, despite our providing full legal documentation, our repeated requests for his medical records were ignored for over 60 days. My father passed away suddenly, and three months later, this center has never reached out or offered a single word of condolence. I strongly urge any family looking for long-term care to do thorough research and look elsewhere to protect their loved ones.”

“I cannot say enough positive things about Isle Health & Rehab and the people who make this facility what it is. You can have a beautiful building and offer great services, but at the end of the day, it’s the people inside who truly make the difference… and Sumaira is one of those people. Sumaira, the discharge planner, is absolutely exceptional at what she does. She genuinely cares about the patients and families she works with, and it shows in everything she does. She is compassionate, attentive, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to make sure people feel supported and prepared for the next step in their care. She has a way of making what can be an overwhelming and stressful process feel organized, comfortable, and manageable. What stands out most is that her compassion feels genuine. Patients aren’t just another room number or another discharge to complete. She takes the time to listen, communicate, answer questions, and make sure the details are handled correctly. That kind of dedication is becoming harder and harder to find in healthcare. Isle Health & Rehab is fortunate to have someone like Sumaira representing their facility. The care, professionalism, and kindness I have witnessed from the team speak volumes about the culture they are building there. If you or your family are ever in the difficult position of needing skilled nursing or rehabilitation, having people like Sumaira in your corner can make all the difference.
