“⭐☆☆☆☆ My experience with Kellar Realty has been extremely disappointing. As a single mother with teenage daughters, I repeatedly communicated my concerns about privacy, safety, and the frequency of entries into my home. Unfortunately, those concerns were ignored. Over the past three months, the property management has attempted to enter my home on four separate occasions. This wasn't just for routine maintenance. They conducted an initial inspection, then less than a month later requested another inspection after I informed them I would not be renewing my lease. Now, before I've even moved out, they want to install a lockbox and bring prospective tenants through my home while my family still lives there. To make matters worse, my security deposit was threatened if I did not comply. Using the lease as leverage to pressure tenants into repeated inspections and showings feels intimidating and unnecessary. My home is well maintained. I do not smoke, I do not have pets, and I have taken excellent care of the property throughout my tenancy. I am also vacating the home with ample time remaining on my lease to allow them to prepare and re-rent the property. Despite this, I have been made to feel that my family's privacy and security are less important than their convenience. During the summer, my minor children are home while I am at work. Expecting them to accommodate repeated inspections and allowing strangers into what is still our legal residence is unacceptable. I understand landlords have rights under a lease, but tenants also deserve to be treated with respect and consideration. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Kellar Realty. I hope they reevaluate how they treat tenants and find a better balance between conducting business and respecting the privacy, safety, and dignity of the people who call their properties home. Update to response by the owner of owner: Your response omits several important facts. Your company entered my home on April 8. Less than a month later, you requested yet another inspection on May 4. Regardless of who managed the property before your company assumed management, my concern has been the frequency of entries into my home after you took over. Additionally, the gate was not "fixed." It still would not close properly and had to be physically lifted in order to open and close. That is not a completed repair. Rather than making a reasonable accommodation after I expressed concerns about repeated entries into my occupied home, your company chose to interpret the lease solely for your own convenience. I was told the lease only required a one-hour notice and that you were "helping me out" by providing 24 hours' notice. Florida law requires at least 24 hours' notice for non-emergency entry, so that was not a courtesy—it was your legal obligation. At no point did I refuse to cooperate. I simply requested a reasonable accommodation while I remained in possession of the home. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, I continue to receive text messages asking when I will vacate, despite the fact that I have paid rent for the entire month and remain legally entitled to possession of the property through the end of my lease term. This issue has never been about preventing you from performing your job. It has been about my right to the quiet enjoyment of the home while I remain a paying tenant and about expecting the lease and applicable law to be applied fairly—not only when it benefits management.”

“Horrid property management company. Avoid them at all costs.”
