“My boyfriend and I decided to try this place for a sweet treat on the way home one night, the wait was quite a while even though there was only one family of three in front of us. The wait to order was immense and then waiting for our order also took a while. I assume it was only one person working that evening but I'm not really sure. The pictures of the treats looked amazing on their signs and online, but my Reese's cheesecake cup and my boyfriend's andies mint milkshake came in these very small retro style paper cups, think taco bell cups from the 90's, that you can't see thru like the plastic ones they advertise for their business. So it felt like a bit of a let down imagining one thing from their own advertising and receiving something that looks completely different. I was also surprised and disappointed that the cheesecake in my Reese's cheesecake cup was basically cheesecake flavored pudding and not actual cheesecake. My boyfriend's andies mint milkshake tasted like toothpaste and not much like an actual andies mint, no chocolate seemed to be in there. Overall with the wait, service and food quality/quantity, was not worth the price of product. In my personal opinion. After the experience I had wished we would have went out of our way to go to cold stone. That being said, it seemed mediocre and too pricey, but I would still suggest going and trying it for yourself and not relying on reviews of other people. I initially planned to go back and try the pancake mini's at some point too, but after that experience I think I'm good.”

“I reviewed them a while back, stating that something had changed since the place became Sweet J's. The ice cream isn't smooth like it used to be and just doesn't taste the same. The vanilla is bland. They assured me that it was the same recipe as it was before the new owners and name change. Being right up the road from us, we occasionally got ice cream from here, in hopes that it was just a fluke and it would get better. Well, it didn’t. Last night, my husband got himself a milkshake, for me he got the Reeses sundae and two pup cups for our dogs. I really wanted to try the Reeses sundae because they showed it on their Facebook page and it looked really good. When my husband got home with it, I couldn't help but laugh because it looked nothing like the one on Facebook. (See photos) I commented, politely, on their post and said, Mine didn't look like that.. I was sent a private message asking me to address them through messenger and they asked when this happened.. When I tried to respond, I couldn't. They had blocked me. My friend told me my comment had been removed as well. I guess this company's business practice is to delete comments and block anyone who dares to say something even remotely negative about their service. Beyond all of that, the ice cream still wasn't smooth and creamy like it was before the place became Sweet J's. I'd rather make the drive to Maggie D's, where the ice cream and customer service is amazing.”
